Kings Name Ryan Sete as New Associate Coach!

SKYLANDS JUNIOR KINGS, OF THE NA3HL ANNOUNCES NEW ASSOCIATE COACH

Skylands Ice World, in Stockholm, NJ, home to the Skylands Kings Youth and Junior Hockey, announce today, the appointment of Ryan Sete to Associate Coach of the Junior Team, an active member of the North American 3 Hockey League for the 2019-20 season.

Ryan, originally from Jackson, MI, played youth hockey for the Jackson Generals as well as the Chelsea Chiefs in Chelsea, MI. Sete also played Bantam AA for the Dearborn Brand in Detroit, MI. Ryan was recruited to play at the prestigious Culver Military Academy in Indiana for the high school varsity team that won the state championship, as well as the U16AAA and the Prep team. At culver Ryan also played football, soccer, and lacrosse.

Sete went on to play in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League for the Edina Lakers. Ryan’s Sophomore year of juniors, he suited up in the NA3HL for the North Iowa Bulls and was traded to the Cincinnati Swords. While in Cincinnati after 15 games Sete was called up to the North American Hockey League by Brooking Blizzard in Brookings, SD and remained the remainder of the season. The following year Sete played for Brooking Blizzard and was traded mid season to the Michigan Warriors in Flint, MI where he finished my junior career.

After juniors Ryan played at Johnson and Wales University NCAA DIV III for the next four years. Ryan was named Captain his senior year. While at Johnson and Wales Ryan helped run skills clinics for the Providence Capitals and Blue Chips Select youth hockey organizations. Ryan graduated J&W with a degree in Sports, Entertainment and Event Management.

Sete will also assist in coaching the Skylands Kings Youth Bantam teams as well as entry level, camps and clinics, and will be instrumental in the junior players development, and recruiting.

Ryan will be a great mentor and guide for the players as he brings a great deal of experience and enthusiasm.” Said Skylands General Manager, Rita Mitchell. “We are looking forward to a great team this season, and a great place for people to bring their families and enjoy a great hockey game!”

“I am excited to bring Ryan in this year with our NA3 team, it is great to have somebody who played in our league and moved onto the NAHL and eventually to the NCAA level.” Said Head Coach Adam Mitchell. “Ryan’s experience will be immensely helpful in teaching our young players what it takes to get to the next level.”
