Herms Commits to Mercyhurst ACHA

ANDREW HERMS COMMITS TO ACHA DII MERCYHURST UNIVERSITY!

Skylands Ice World, in Stockholm, NJ, home to the Skylands Kings youth and Junior Hockey, announce today, the commitment of Andrew Herms to Mercyhurst University, ACHA DII College Ice Hockey Program.

Herms, a 6’1” goaltender from Long Valley, NJ, appeared in 9 games this season for the Kings posting 5 wins and a .894 save percentage. “Andrew is a young goaltender who uses his size and frame to his advantage very well. He has come a long way this season both in his skating ability and ability to cut down angles and read the play.” Said Kings Head Coach, Adam Mitchell. “I have the upmost confidence that Andrew will be a great addition to the Mercyhurst hockey family.”

 

Mercyhurst Head Coach Tom McKinnon on Herms, “We are excited to have Andrew join our organization this coming fall. We’ve stayed in touch with Andrew as he refined his skills and developed his game at the junior level with the Skylands Kings and look forward to continuing his development here at Mercyhurst.”
