Alternate Captain Josh Baker Commits to Stockton University

Skylands Ice World, in Stockholm, NJ, home to the Skylands Kings youth and Junior Hockey, announce today, the commitment of Josh Baker to the Stockton University, ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), Division III College Ice Hockey Program.

Josh Baker, a 5’10” forward, hails from Greenwood Lake, NY. A two-year veteran of the Kings and names Alternate Captain in 2018-19, Josh played in 72 games and tallied 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points. “Josh Brought a lot of leadership and positive energy to our team the last two seasons,” Said Skylands Head Coach Adam Mitchell. “His speed and work ethic will help him be effective at Stockton immediately,” Coach Mitchell added. “Josh is the type of player and person who will do whatever is necessary to help his team and teammates be successful, we are extremely proud of the growth we have seen from him and excited to watch him progress at the college level.”

Stockton University is located near the Jersey Shore and play out of Atlantic City, NJ. Bob Gialanella, Head Coach of Stockton, has watched Josh throughout the past two seasons and is excited to announce that Baker will be their newest addition.“Josh brings a level of leadership, maturity and high-level experience playing with the Skylands Kings, “stated Coach Gialanella, “With Josh being our first Na3HL recruit from the Kings, we are excited to build a lasting relationship with the NA3HL and Skylands in the future.”
